This cemetery in Cavite allows owners to hold funerals for their pets
When a pet passes away, many families choose to bury them just in their backyard.
Others, however, choose to bury them at the Pet Valley Park and Crematory, a pet cemetery in Silang Cavite.
Families get a chance to have a proper funeral or even a cremation ceremony for their deceased pets.
According to Howie Severino's I-Witness episode, 300 to 500 pets are buried in the cemetery in a month.
Mayleen Durana, the sales and marketing officer of the cemetery, said that different kinds of pets have been buried there.
Whenever families would gather to either visit the remains of their pets or hold the burial at the cemetery, Durana noted that the family's pain and grief were undeniable.
She said, "Siyempre may umiiyak, may humahagulgol. Nandoon 'yung halos hihimatayin sila.
During the burial ceremonies, families gather around as the pet's coffin is slowly lowered to the ground. A monk, although not certified, offers prayer over the deceased passing. —Kaela Malig/JST, GMA News
