Kris Lawrence welcomes second child
Kris Lawrence just welcomed his second child, Lyric!
The singer shared the wonderful news on Instagram, Tuesday, and posted a photo with the little guy, and said they were "finally home from the hospital after 33 days."
"Here’s to more sleepless nights, but loving every moment. This lil guy is awesome," he added.
In an interview with PEP.ph through his close friend Chrissie Abad , Lawrence said that his non-showbiz girlfriend gave birth to Lyric on October 4 at the St. Luke's Medical Center.
Lyric was born prematurely, weight just 1.65 kilos, but was assured to be very strong.
"It’s just like I remembered it when Katie was born. The joy, the kaba, the endless smiles, the excitement, holding the li’l guy in your arms and looking at that little face and seeing your own face in his..I love this feeling. It’s priceless. This is that unconditional love," the singer said.
According to Lawrence, he chose the name Lyric for his son because he wanted his son's name to be something unique and something to do with music.
"Besides, if he ever does want to enter the showbiz world, at least he has a cool screen name - Lyric Lawrence. Or ‘LL’ for short," Lawrence said.
Lawrence welcomed his first child, Katie, in September 2012. Although Lawrence's relationship with Katie's mother, Katrina Halili, ended in a separation, he assured that Katie has a loving relationship with her little brother. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
