Sharon on leaving daughter Frankie in NYC for college: 'I shouldn’t be selfish and just let her spread her wings and fly'
Sharon Cuneta and fam all went to New York to help daughter Frankie Pangilinan get settled in for college.
They’ve spend many beautiful days in the Big Apple — having a steak lunch at Serafina, visiting the Chelsea neighborhood, and food tripping in Chinatown.
But after two weeks, pretty much the entire family has gone home, leaving Sharon, and her Yaya Hazel to issue the last goodbyes.
On Instagram Thursday, the Megastar opened up about her anxieties over leaving her daughter behind.
“I have been getting 2 ½-3 hours of sleep at night sine we got here two weeks ago, and now, clearly this is no longer jetlag. It’s all the stress and pain of knowing that in a few more days, I will have to gather all my strength to be able to finally leave her here in this big beautiful city,” Sharon writes.
Pointing out how Frankie will be without family and friends she’s loved and been loved by since the 7th grade, Sharon said “I worry too much about her,” adding she’s “so crazy about all my children.”
She consoled herself in knowing that her daughter was born a “manang.”
“She has always been more mature for her age, [and] she has been, for the past few years, my best friend. I miss her already.”
“I cry every night, but I shouldn’t be selfish and just let her spread her wings and fly,” she added, asking for prayers for both Frankie and herself.
