Cassy and Mavy Legaspi talk about how their parents are their best friends

The Legaspis are the very picture of a perfect, happy family.

And though they may not actually be perfect, they are definitely happy.

In Metro Style's Father's Day Special featuring Zoren Legaspi, his and Carmina Villaroel's twins open up about their relationship with one another.

Both Cassy and Mavy said that they consider Zoren and Carmina their best friends.

"They’re not just my parents, they’re like my best friends. I know we all have these super close friends, but my parents are always first, no joke!" Mavy said.

"When I have something to say or make kwento, they’re always first to know," he added.

Cassy says they're so close that she accidentally calls them "dude."

"I didn’t even realize it. 'Dude.' Sorry.  I forget that they’re my parents. I feel like I’m talking to my brother or my sister or my best friend. Sorry, mom, dad," she said.

For Mavy, their mom is more comforting and talkative when it comes to having conversations, while their dad tends to go straight to the point.

But it's a different story for Cassy — she reveals that she has late-night talks with Zoren.

"I feel so bad because I make him puyat, even if he has taping the next day. We'd be talking until 3a.m. He’s just there listening and gives you advice. Then sometimes it turns into a lecture," she said.

"He is strict but he’s a softie. A softie strict dad, that’s the perfect description," she added.

But while they can stoop down and be besties with their children, Zoren and Carmine are parents first.

Zoren said that he is undoubtedly stricter, but that they have different parenting styles.

"Mas strict ako [kaysa kay Carmina] because of the discipline na gusto kong matutunan nila. Kunwari may pagkain sa bahay, o-order ka sa labas? E may pagkain dito. Mine kasi, it’s more of technical parenting e, [si Carmina] emotional parenting," he said.
