The priceless reaction of Catriona's parents when their daughter was declared the Miss Universe winner
Catriona Gray's proud parents couldn't hide their excitement when host Steve Harvey announced their daughter is the new Miss Universe queen on Monday at the coronation event in Bangkok, Thailand.
A member of the audience who sat next to Catriona's parents captured their reaction in a video, which he then posted on Twitter.
"I sat next to Catriona Gray’s parents, and this was their reaction when their daughter, Miss Philippines, won Miss Universe," Twitter user @MikeinCambodia said.
The video showed Catriona's father giving her daughter a standing ovation, while her mother was seen happily crying upon learning that their daughter has won.

At the post-pageant press conference, Catriona revealed the significance of her red dress. It was inspired by Mount Mayon and her mother's dream when she was 13.
“When I was 13, my mother told me, ‘I had a dream and you were in the Miss Universe and you won in a red dress’,” Cat narrated.
"So when I saw her earlier, she said, ‘I dreamed this.’ And there were tears in her eyes. "
Meanwhile, Catriona has always quoted her father's advice to her.
"I can always hear my dad's voice, whenever he gives me advice it's always stuck in my head. He always tells me 'the longest journey starts with a single step' and it sounds very simple, but sometimes when we're reaching for a dream or we have an ambition, it seems so far away and we can feel overwhelmed but when we look at it as one small step at a time, one day you'll look up from your feet that you're already there," Catriona told the press during her send-off last November.
Catriona also shared this advice on her introduction video in Miss Universe.
