Heart reveals it was Sen. Miriam Santiago who empowered her to come out of her shell
Kapuso darling and fashion icon Heart Evangelista may be flying high these days — starting a blog, getting featured in international magazines, starting a fashion collaboration, becoming an artist! — but she revealed that it was her close friend, the late Senator Miriam Santiago, who pushed her out of our comfort zone.
"It was hard for me to step out of my shell. She was very instrumental for me to becoming a bit more empowered." Heart told GMA News Online in an exclusive interview at the Love Marie for Kamiseta collaboration launch in Bonfacio Global City on Wednesday.

With all the successes she's been having lately, Heart believes Senator Miriam would be happy with all that she has accomplished.
"She'd be so happy, she would always tell me to go for my dreams and not be afraid," Heart added.

On Instagram, Heart recently posted a photo with Senator Miriam, in the caption she expressed how much she misses her.
"If only I could turn back time and have one last conversation with you," Heart wrote in the caption.
Just like how much people loved her recent "Adulting 101" vlog with her husband Senator Chiz Escudero, she's sure they would also love to watch one with Senator Miriam sharing her insights.
"I know people would have loved an "Adulting 101 with Senator Miriam" video too. Missing you everyday, Sen. Miriam," she added.
