A man in Butuan lives with his wife…and his other woman

Under Philippine law, what Junior, resident of Butuan City is doing is punishable by law; his wife Tess can charge him with Concubinage, which is punishable for up to four years in prison.

But Tess isn’t charging anyone with anything because it was actually her idea to let her husband Junior live with his other woman, Gina, in her home.

It’s a controversial matter to say the least, but it’s been their setup for a few years now.

On "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" Sunday, we learned about Junior and Tess. They'd been married since 1999, and everything was pretty smooth sailing; they had seven children, all of whom they were able to raise through Junior’s earnings as a habal-habal driver.

But life got a little too hard that Junior and Tess started fighting.

Gina was Junior’s passenger. She paid him a month’s worth of fare, which allowed them to see each other on a daily basis. This led them to get to know each other, and with Junior keeping his marriage a secret and Gina experiencing family problems, the two became close, until finally they fell in love.

It took two years for Tess and Gina to learn the truth: that Junior was having an affair.

Gina decided to leave town, but when that happened, Junior started acting strange. It was then that Tess decided to talk to Gina into coming back.

At first, Junior kept the two women separated but his kids with Tess kept looking for him, so nine months later, she let Junior come back into their home...with Gina in tow.

With Junior and Gina sleeping in one room — and Tess sleeping with her kids — it didn’t take long for the former to have kids. They now have two.

The setup is hard for Tess, but because she cannot afford to raise their seven children by herself and she knows Junior can leave her anytime, Tess had to learn to accept it — the pain of seeing her husband with another woman and the chaos that comes with the controversial setup.

At the moment, things have settled down; Gina and Tess have even become close friends. They don’t really mind what other people are saying — in fact it’s helped the three of them become better friends. — LA, GMA News
