Saab Magalona shares the heartbreaking story of losing her baby girl

“On February 8, we lost our baby girl,” reads a portion of Saab Magalona’s heartbreaking blog post, published today, March 6, incidentally her father’s 9th death anniversary.

The Cheats vocalist revealed her baby boy – she was carrying twins, remember? – is still in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the hospital, and though he’s already gone through surgery, is doing better.

“So many things happened in the last month. There are so many people we could blame and be angry with, but each time we hold our boy, we think otherwise, he’s been fighting to be part of this world and it’s our responsibility to make it one that is forgiving—one that tries to see the best in other people.”

Saab said she initially didn’t want to post about this sad episode of her life because “publishing this means that this whole thing is real.”

But on her dad’s death anniversary, she finally wrote her story because “I need to honor her. She was such a beautiful girl and we believe she gave her life for me and her twin brother.”
