‘Fireflies’ by Owl City reaches 1 billion streams on Spotify

You would not believe your eyes because “Fireflies” by Owl City has reached 1 billion streams on Spotify!
The American electronic pop singer, also known as Adam Young, announced the good news through a Facebook post, sharing a screenshot of his hit song garnering one billion streams on the platform.
In his post, Adam expressed his “billion thank yous” to his fans.
“A billion thank yous. I never would have imagined this when I recorded this little song in my bedroom. Thank you for all your support along the way. Here’s to a billion more,” he said.
Adam released “Fireflies” in 2009 and it quickly became a hit. Owl City is one of Adam Young's many music projects. It is best known for its songs "Vanilla Twilight" and "Good Time" in collaboration with Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen.
The singer was in the Philippines in 2015 for a free concert.
