Chanyeol says Yeng Constantino's 'Hawak Kamay' is his favorite Filipino song

For EXO member Chanyeol, the warm welcome of Filipinos makes him come back to the country often.
The K-pop idol was the headliner of Waterbomb Manila 2025, marking his third year in a row returning to the Philippines.
Since his first visit here with his group EXO, the star has connected with fans through the song "Hawak Kamay" by Yeng Constantino. The song has been a staple performance during his visits in the country.
"The song that I like is 'Hawak Kamay' coz when I went in the Philippines as EXO, that's what I sang and I sang it multiple times," he said.
With his multiple visits in the country, many fans has treated him like a citizen of the country.
"I really like visiting the Philippines since [I] get good energy from Filipinos. I really feel good and welcome here," he said.
The last time Chanyeol was in the Philippines was for a fan meeting in October 2024.
He was also in the country for three different events in 2023—a concert for his sub-unit EXO-SC and two other brand activities.
Chanyeol is the rapper of the hit K-pop boy group EXO and were known for their songs like "Growl," "Overdose," "Love Shot," among others.
He made his solo debut in 2024 with the EP "Black Out" released in August.
The K-pop idol has also pursued a career in acting like the film "So I Married and Anti-fan" in 2016 and web series "Secret Queen Makers" in 2018, among others.
