Taeyang of BIGBANG sings ‘Palagi’ by TJ Monterde in Manila show

Taeyang of BIGBANG made Filo VIPs kilig with his cover of “Palagi” by TJ Monterde!

As seen on Billboard Philippines’ post on X (formerly Twitter), the K-pop singer sang TJ’s hit song during his “The Light Year” concert at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday.

On Instagram, Taeyang also shared some snaps from his Manila show and wrote: “Thank u Manila. Love u palagi” in the caption.

In the comment section, TJ expressed his gratitude to the South Korean singer for the special performance of his song.

“Thank you for singing ‘Palagi’! Love from the Philippines!” TJ wrote.

“Palagi,” a song featuring TJ’s wife KZ Tandingan, was previously honored by Billboard Philippines as its No. 1 song of 2024.

According to Billboard Philippines, the award was because "Palagi" sat in the number 1 position of the year-end Philippines Hot 100 and Top Philippine Songs charts, beating out other major hit songs like “Sining” by Dionela and Jay R and “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter.

“Palagi” is an acoustic love song that is all about choosing someone again and again, even when things get hard.

It gained extra popularity when it was used as the theme song for “Hello, Love, Again,” and with various artists covering it in recent months.
