Netflix drops first look at 'Alice in Borderland' Season 3

Netflix gave a first look at the much-awaited third season of “Alice in Borderland," which is coming to the streaming platform this 2025.

On social media Wednesday, Netflix posted a photo featuring three individuals overlooking an apocalyptic Tokyo skyline, and a large banner of the Joker card.

“You’re not ready for the final game. Alice in Borderland Season 3 premieres in 2025,” Netflix said wrote in its caption.

Several netizens have expressed their excitement for the upcoming season on X.

“My heart is pounding out of my chest just thinking about it! I need Arisu and Usagi back ASAP!” said a netizen.

“This is gonna be wild! Joker’s gonna mess things up for sure!” added another netizen.

The third season is set to premiere in 2025.

“Alice in Borderland” is a Japanese series that followed the story of teenager Arisu, who had been transported into an apocalyptic version of Tokyo called the Borderlands with his friends and forced to play survival games in exchange for playing cards.

The first series in 2020 covered games with numbered cards, while the second season in 2022 covered more intense games with Jack, Ace, King, and Queen face cards.

The last season ended with the surviving players beating their final game and returning to the real world, where it was revealed that a meteor had destroyed parts of Tokyo and caused them to be sent to the Borderlands.

"Alice in Borderland" Season 3 was announced by Netflix in 2023, with a poster showing a Joker card.

According to a statement, Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya will reprise their roles, and Shinsuke Sato will continue to direct the series.
