Residents hit by Pepito in Aurora receive free roofing materials from GMA Kapuso Foundation
Residents of Brgy. Dinadiawan in Dipaculao, Aurora who were hit by Super Typhoon Pepito last November received free roofing materials under GMA Kapuso Foundation's Silong Kapuso Project to repair their homes.
According to "24 Oras" Wednesday, among the beneficiaries of the project is Ferdinand Tating. He has not been able to buy materials to fix his home's roof because the typhoon also destroyed the boat he uses for his livelihood as a fisherman.
A total of 85 partially damaged homes received metal sheets, wood, plywood, and other materials through GMA Kapuso Foundation and Kanepackage Philippine Inc.
The construction of the homes was led by the 522nd Engineering Construction Battalion of the Philippine Army.
Arnel Zantua, supervising engineer of GMA Kapuso Foundation.
The beneficiaries also received rice, groceries, and hygiene kits.
For those who wish to support GMA Kapuso Foundation's projects, donations may be made via Metrobank, Land Bank, BDO, Bank of Commerce, UnionBank, PNB, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Lazada, and Shopee. Visit GMA Kapuso Foundation's website for more information.
