Netflix drops first look at 'My Melody & Kuromi' series

Netflix has given fans a first look at the upcoming stop-motion series "My Melody & Kuromi!"

The beloved Sanrio characters appeared in a 10-second video on Netflix's YouTube channel, which announced that the series will premiere in July.

The project is in celebration of the 50th anniversary of "My Melody" and the 20th anniversary of Kuromi.

"My Melody & Kuromi" is directed by Tomoki Misato, written by Shuko Nemoto, and produced by Toruku from WIT Studio.

My Melody is a character who wears a pink hoodie with a yellow ribbon covering her ears. Kuromi, meanwhile, wears a black hoodie with a pink skull.
