Quezon City residents enjoy car-free Sunday on Tomas Morato for 2nd straight month
Quezon City residents are now enjoying the "Car-Free, Carefree Sunday" program in Tomas Morato Avenue for the second straight month.
Under the program, the area will be car-less from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m to allow QCitizens to enjoy the open space without the fear of cars.
"Pwedeng mag-jogging, walking, bike, at mag-Zumba! Pet-friendly rin tayo rito kaya naman maaari ninyong dalhin ang inyong furbabies," said Mayor Joy Belmonte on X.
The "Car-Free, Carefree Sunday" scheme was launched on December 8 and held every first Sunday of each month.
It is implemented in compliance with a city ordinance which calls for active mobility and safety of the city's residents.
