Generation Beta: Babies born in 2025 to 2039 mark new era
Move over, Gen Alpha, a new generation is here!
Babies born in 2025 until 2039 will mark a new generation called Gen Beta.
According to Mariz Umali’s Thursday report in “Unang Balita,” social analyst Mark McCrindle predicted that Gen Beta will be the generation that relies on Artificial Intelligence (AI) daily.
McCrindle also claimed that this new generation will put importance on kind human interactions and community building.
Moreover, the social analyst's study revealed that Gen Beta's habits would be significantly influenced by their Millennial and Gen Z parents, with the latter more likely to regulate their children’s screen time.
“Gen Z sees the benefits of technology and screen time, but equally, they see the downsides of it and are pushing back on technology and the age at which their children access and engage with it,” McCrindle wrote.
On New Year’s Day, the Philippines welcomed Gen Beta babies in different hospitals, a significant event that marks the beginning of a new era. Among them was Alea Jade, born at the Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital in Manila. —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA Integrated News
