'Green Bones' cat Oreo graces film screening in Quezon City

Oreo, the adorable cat in "Green Bones," surprised filmgoers at the Cinema '76 with a special appearance.

On Facebook, GMA Pictures shared photos of Oreo at the cinema house, and the guests were delighted by his presence.

Oreo played Kuting, the cat of the character played by Ronnie Lazaro in "Green Bones."

"Green Bones" bagged six trophies at the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024 Gabi ng Parangal.

Top-billed by Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid, the GMA Pictures film took home Best Picture, Best Actor (Dennis), Best Supporting Actor (Ruru), Best Child Performer (Sienna Stevens), Best Screenplay, and Best Cinematography during the awards night held at Solaire Resort in Parañaque City.

"Green Bones" is based on an original story by JC Rubio, senior documentary manager of GMA Public Affairs.

It follows prisoner Domingo Zamora (Dennis), who is notorious for the murder of his sister and her daughter. Now that Domingo is up for parole, the newly assigned prison guard (Ruru) takes a personal interest in making sure that he remains behind bars no matter what.

"Green Bones" also stars Michael De Mesa, Alessandra De Rossi, Ronnie Lazaro, Kylie Padilla, Mikoy Morales, Gerhard Acao, Iza Calzado, Sofia Pablo, and more.

The film is showing in over 100 cinemas nationwide.
