2,100 Ivatan kids receive early Christmas gifts from GMA Kapuso Foundation
A total of 2,100 students in Batanes received early Christmas gifts or pamasko through GMA Kapuso Foundation Give-A-Gift Alay sa Batang Pinoy Christmas Project.
According to "24 Oras" on Monday, among the beneficiaries of the project are Rosan Gallo's children.
Rosan, who weaves vakul, a traditional Ivatan headdress, shared in the report that they will celebrate Christmas by going to church and thanking God for protecting them amid the super typhoons that hit Batanes in recent months.
The GMA Kapuso Foundation transported the gift bags to Batanes aboard a Philippine Navy vessel. The gift bags, which contained food, toys, and hygiene kits, were then loaded on a boat and delivered to the children in Sabtang and Itbayat islands.
"Maraming salamat sa GMA Kapuso Foundation, nagkaroon sila ng lakas ng loob at saya," said Marcial Noguera of the School Governance and Operations Division, Department of Education Batanes
