Anne Curtis says getting a wax figure is ‘surreal’ and proves that dreams do come true
For Anne Curtis, getting her own Madame Tussauds wax figure is “another dream checked off my list.”
In an exclusive interview with GMA News Online after her wax figure's grand reveal on Wednesday, Anne said she was “truly honored to have this opportunity to be immortalized” and to be the first Filipino actress and host to be part of Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong.
“I never thought this would happen, but you know, being in front of another me, it just kind of feels surreal,” she said.
The award-winning actress and "It's Showtime" host added that this feat is something that she never expected to happen even in her wildest dreams.
“It just goes to show that if you really dream big and you work hard for it, like you don't just expect things to fall on your lap, your dreams can come true,” she said.
Like in her career, she added, “It was a slow burn but I’m happy to still be here pursuing my dream.”
Thus, she and her husband Erwan Heussaff make sure to teach their daughter Dahlia about the value of perseverance.
Per Anne, they tell her that it's all right to dream big, but she must also put in the effort and work hard.
“Whether it be her finishing a task, we always make sure to instill those values of having the patience to finish that task,” she shared.
“Just the same as it is in pursuing your dreams, you have to be patient, because it's not something that happens right away.”
Anne’s wax figure is set to be displayed at Madame Tussauds at The Peak in Hong Kong starting on December 9.
She is the latest Filipino artist to have her own wax figure after Manny Pacquiao, Pia Wurtzbach, Catriona Gray, and Lea Salonga.
