Catriona Gray proud of 'Legacy Ball' for Tondo NGO: 'A vision made into reality'
It's been six years since Catriona Gray won Miss Universe, but her advocacy lives on: "To see situations with a silver lining and to assess where I could give something, where I could provide something as a spokesperson."
The Miss Universe 2018 successfully mounted her "Legacy Ball" for the benefit of Young Focus Philippines, a non-governmental organization in Tondo, Manila that offers free, accessible, and quality education to underserved Filipino youth.
On Instagram, Catriona expressed her gratitude and pride for the said event.
"A vision made into reality," the beauty queen wrote. "Para sa Young Focus."
In a separate post, Nice Print Photo shared some snaps from the "Legacy Ball," where Catriona donned several ensembles, including a blue strapless gown with a wave-like skirt.
Catriona was only 22 when she and her mom, Mita, first visited Young Focus in 2016, per the NGO's website. She has advocated for accessible education for the youth, from her Miss World stint to her Miss Universe reign and beyond.
Fresh from Mexico, Catriona served as a backstage host for the 73rd edition of the Miss Universe pageant, where Denmark's Victoria Kjaer Theilvig reigned victorious and was crowned with Jewelmer's "The Light of Infinity."
