'Lost Sabungeros' to be screened at UP Film Institute
"Lost Sabungeros," the first-ever investigative documentary film of GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures, will have a theatrical run at the University of the Philippines Film Institute (UPFI).
On social media, GMA Public Affairs announced that the doco-film will be screened on November 28 at 5 p.m. and on November 29, at 2 p.m. at the UP Cine Adarna.
The film show is open to the public, and the tickets will be sold at the cinema entrance one hour before the movie starts.
"The Lost Sabungeros" was previously screened in QCinema International Film Festival on November 9, 12 and 17. After its premiere, Kapuso journalist Kara David led a talkback session with the film's production team and families of the missing cockfighters.
The documentary was set to premiere at the Cinemalaya in August, but its screenings were canceled due to "security concerns."
"Lost Sabungeros" looks into the disappearances of over 30 sabungeros or cockfighters who have been missing since 2021.
