Booksale to enter 'new chapter,' some branches closing

Booksale Philippines has announced that it is heading to a "new chapter" in its story.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Tuesday, Booksale CEO Josh Sison said some of the bargain bookstore's branches are closing but they have "exciting plans" for Filipino bookworms.

He also thanked their loyal readers for supporting the store throughout the years.

"We're excited to continue finding new and creative ways to make reading affordable and accessible as we have done so for the past 35 years," Sison said.

"So here's to the stories yet to be told and the adventures that await—both on the page and in the world beyond!" he added.

Booksale offers both used and unused books for low prices. It has branches all over the country.
