Nectar Nightclub announces permanent closure beginning 2025

Nectar Nightclub, a beloved queer bar in Bonifacio Global City, is closing down its doors permanently starting January 1, 2025.

Nectar shared the unfortunate news on its official social media pages on Sunday morning.

According to the bar, its nearing shutdown is due to "The Fort's upcoming closure," which is the area of Nectar in BGC.

"It's the end of an era but also a moment to celebrate the unforgettable experiences we've shared," Nectar said.

"Through every beat, every celebration, and every friendship made, Nectar has been more than just a nightclub—it's been a second home for all of us," it added.

For the rest of 2024, Nectar is set to host a series of farewell events "to relive our best memories together."

However, all is not lost for Nectar, as the bar is gearing up for its next chapter in a different location, and more details about it are coming soon.

Nectar is known for producing some of the country's finest drag queens, including Marina Summers, Taylor Sheesh, Aries Night, and O-A.
