Chelsea Manalo named first Miss Universe Asia: 'Mabuhay ang Pilipinas'

Chelsea Manalo was named the first-ever Miss Universe Asia during a post-pageant press conference held in Mexico City on Sunday (Philippine time).

On Instagram, Miss Universe Philippines 2024 shared a video of Chelsea greeting her fellow Filipinos.

"Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! We are making history as Miss Universe Asia," she said in the video.

The Bulakenya beauty queen is set to travel around Asia and will be joining some of the official trips of the Miss Universe organization.

Chelsea bowed out early in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant , ending her journey in the Top 30 .

Despite not winning the country's fifth crown, the Bulakenya beauty queen gave a good fight in the competition. She brought out her Tampisaw Walk in the swimsuit competition.

Meanwhile, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig of Denmark was crowned Miss Universe 2024. She is the first queen to wear the Filipino-made crown " The Light of Infinity " by homegrown brand Jewelmer.
