Milo the loyal dog finds new home after previous owner passes away

A stray dog captured the hearts of netizens online after they found out that he would not leave his old home after his owner passed away.

In Kuya Kim's report on "24 Oras," Thursday, video uploader Rafael Zurbano said that he first saw Milo roaming around streets.

"Nakita ko siya naglalakad, tumatakbo, parang balisa. Nahabag 'yung puso ko, 'Parang problemado 'tong asong to?'

He then learned that Milo seemed neglected because his previous owner died, so Rafael helped him find a new home.

However, they had a hard time convincing Milo at first.

Siguro naiisip niya 'yung amo niya. Talagang nakitaan ko talaga siya ng love and loyalty," Rafael said.

Fortunately, Milo already found a new home.

Like people, dogs can also feel emotions, including sadness, anxiety, and depression.

According to Kuya Kim, they express their emotions through body language, like wagging their tails, their facial expressions, or the drooping of their ears.

One of the signs that a dog is in emotional distress is if there's a change in their behavior, like having no interest in playing or eating.

"Observe lang muna. So after three days ng observation, pakilala, puwedeng magbigay ng treats and hawa-hawakan," Dr. Sean Evan Javier said.
