Almost 48,000 individuals affected by Kristine receive aid from GMA Kapuso Foundation
Almost 48,000 individuals affected by the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine received help from GMA Kapuso Foundation through its Operation Bayanihan project.
According to “24 Oras,” Friday, relief goods were delivered to residents in Batangas, Quezon, and Camarines Sur, which were among the provinces heavily hit by Kristine.
“Laking pasalamat po nung dumating sa amin ang tulong. Nagpapasalamat po talaga kami na naging tulong makakasalba sa ‘min pandalawang araw,” Jocelyn Ferrer, a resident, said.
Help was also delivered to Cagayan and Isabela, as well as three isolated barangays in Libon, Albay.
In just a span of eight days, a total of 46,280 individuals were reached by the relief operations and 1,050 people were given food during the feeding program, per the report.

Meanwhile, GMA Kapuso Foundation will head to Bicol next week to distribute early Christmas gifts or pamasko to children affected by Kristine.
The foundation is also ready to bring relief goods in Batanes and is just waiting for the availability of the Armed Forces of the Philippines' C-130 aircraft to help deliver the relief goods.
