Sylvia Sanchez says she already knows address of dad she hasn't seen since fifth grade

Sylvia Sanchez said she now knows the address of her father, Roberto Campo, who abandoned their family when she was just in elementary.

The award-winning actress guested on Friday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," where she shared that the last time she saw her father was when she was in fifth grade.

She added that she and her family knew that her father was in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, but not his exact address.

"Umuuwi siya, last uwi niya sa akin is Grade 5, tas sabi niya sa'kin, balik ako ng Grade 6 kasi pag graduate mo. Sabi ko, 'Papa graduation.' Di siya dumating mula noon hanggang ngayon," she said.

Even more, Sylvia told Tito Boy that she was surprised this morning when she received a text from her aunt in Mindanao, who gave her the address of her dad.

Tito Boy asked her what she plans to do now, and she said she would go to him for closure, whether he is alive or dead.

She added that there were people who told her that her father is still alive, while another has said that he has already passed away.

She recalled a person who went up to her one time and asked her if she was Jojo Campo, which is short for her real name Jossette.

However, she still wants to go to the address regardless if he is gone or not.

"Patay o buhay, gusto ko siyang makita. Kung patay, gusto ko siyang makita just to say, 'Ba-bye papa, I love you and thank you. Dahil sa'yo nagging inspirasyon kita, nagpursigi talaga ako,'" she said.

She also told Tito Boy that she has forgiven her father despite him abandoning their family, adding that she decided to forgive him in 1992 when she received the Best Supporting Actress for "Takbo... Talon... Tili!!!" at the Metro Manila Film Festival.

Parang, 'Papa dahil sa iyo nakuha ko to,'" she said.

One of Sylvia's recent projects is the film "Moonglow" by filmmaker Isabel Sandoval. Aside from acting, she has gone into producing and is the producer of JK Labajo's upcoming concert in November.

Sylvia is married to Art Atayde, who she has four children with: Ria, Arjo, Gela, and Xavi. She also has a daughter, Pia, from a previous relationship.
