Teddy Corpuz recalls fight with Jugs Jugueta that made them friends

As solid as their friendship may look today, the tandem of Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz once had a fight on "It's Showtime" that led to the iconic duo they are today.

At the sidelines of their Magpasikat performance on "It's Showtime" on Thursday, the Rocksteddy frontman looked back to his core memories in the 15-year run of the noontime show, and said that it was his fight with Jugs that stuck with him the most.

"Nag-away kami ni Jugs. Nag-away kami pero after ng away na 'yon, we became deep friends naman talaga. Feeling ko kailangan lang siguro ng ganoon," Teddy said.

"Nag-away kami, tapos after 'non wala na. Ano na kami, kumbaga, all out na kami with each other," he added.

True enough, throughout their 15 years in the show, Jugs and Teddy have formed an unbreakable bond, even performing in 14 Magpasikat numbers together from 2010 to 2024, and winning six of those.

Jugs and Teddy teamed up with Anne Curtis and delivered a dazzling performance inspired by the Disney film "Inside Out" where they tackled core memories. They also brought the Nation's Girl Group BINI with them.

On Wednesday, Team VIDA (Vhong Navarro, Ion Perez, Darren Espanto, Amy Perez) delivered a message about living the good life while highlighting the importance of family.

On Tuesday, Team Ogie Diaz, Kim Chiu, MC, and Lassy highlighted the importance of rest and self-care through their performance.

On Monday, Team Vice Ganda, Karylle, and Ryan Bang delivered an essential message of hope.

Meanwhile, Team Jhong Hilario, Jackie Gonzaga, and Cianne Dominguez will present the last "Magpasikat" performance on Friday.

The judges for this year's "Magpasikat" performance include Gabbi Garcia, Donny Pangilinan, Alice Dixson, and former president of ABS-CBN Freddie "FMG" Garcia.
