Ahtisa Manalo warns vs. scammer using her name for Tropical Storm Kristine 'donation drive'

Ahtisa Manalo warned her followers to be careful after someone used her name to ask for "donations" for victims of Tropical Storm Kristine.

On Facebook, the beauty queen posted screenshots of a conversation initiated by someone who used her profile picture.

The scammer sent a QR code, saying the donation will go to affected Quezon Province residents.

Ahtisa wrote in the caption.

She clarified that it was not her account, and she is not directly asking for donations.

Tropical Storm Kristine has been devastating provinces in the eastern seaboard of Luzon and other areas in Visayas and Mindanao, with heavy rains causing massive flooding.

Three people have been reported dead in the Bicol region as roads turned to rivers, and many residents have to be evacuated with the rising level of water.

For those who are interested to help, here's a list of organizations accepting cash and in-kind donations.
