MMMF releases second batch of entries for 2024 film festival
The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMF) has announced the second batch of entries to complete this year's lineup of films.
The second batch of entries include:
- "My Future You" starring Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin; Directed by Crisanto Aquino
- "Uninvited" starring Vilma Santos, Nadine Lustre, and Aga Muhlach; Directed by Dan Villegas
- "Topakk" starring Arjo Atayde and Julia Montes; Directed by Richard Somes
- "Hold Me Close" starring Carlo Aquino and Julia Barretto; Directed by JP Laxamana
- "Espantaho" starring Judy Ann Santos and Lorna Tolentino; Directed by Chito Roño
Meanwhile, GMA Pictures's "Green Bones," starring Dennis Trillo, Ruru Madrid, and Sofia Pablo, was among the first five films announced to participate in MMFF 2024.
Aside from "Green Bones," the other four films in the first batch are "The Breadwinner Is" starring Vice Ganda and Eugene Domingo, "Strange Frequencies: Haunted Hospital" starring Jane de Leon and Enrique Gil, "Himala Isang Musikal" starring Aicelle Santos and Bituin Escalante, and "The Kingdom" starring Vic Sotto and Piolo Pascual.
"Green Bones" is based on an original story by JC Rubio, senior documentary manager of GMA Public Affairs. It will be directed by Zig Dulay, the filmmaker behind MMFF 2023 Best Picture "Firefly."
