Chelsea Manalo arrives in Los Angeles ahead of Miss Universe 2024 pageant

Chelsea Manalo has arrived in Los Angeles, California ahead of the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.

On Instagram, Tuesday, the Miss Universe Philippines organization shared photos of Chelsea's arrival at the Los Angeles International Airport.

In the photos, the Filipina beauty queen looked sleek in jeans, a white top, and a beige trench coat. She had in her hands a bouquet of flowers.

According to the organization, Chelsea will stay for a few days in LA before flying to Mexico for the pageant.

Before departing the Philippines, the Bulakenya beauty was met with the members of the press for last-minute interviews, as well as a crowd of supporters to see her off.

Chelsea previously said in her Instagram Broadcast Channel that she was "getting excited" seeing everyone's messages.

"Asking nothing but prayers until we get to the universe," she said.

Over the weekend, she told GMA News Online that she was departing the country on Monday.

"Come say hi, let's take a photo. Who knows, right? Baka matagalan na bago makauwi," she said. "I wish nothing else but prayers for safe travels and to make it to the finals."

Chelsea will vie for the country's fifth Miss Universe crown on the coronation night happening on November 16 (November 17, Philippine time). The Preliminary and National Costume competitions are set for November 14.

The 25-year-old won the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 crown in May, making her the first Filipino-Black American candidate ever to win the national title.

At her send-off last week, Chelsea gave a preview of her introduction.
