Angelica Lopez calls to empower less fortunate children in Miss International 2024 Beauties for SDGs video

Angelica Lopez is ready to amplify her advocacy on the international stage.

In her Miss International 2024 Beauties for SDGs video, Angelica talked about a story from the Philippines that is "not often told," a story about the challenges often faced by less fortunate children.

"For many children in the Philippines, the struggle to survive is real. They face poverty, hunger, and limited access to health care and education, but despite these challenges, we can work together to create a society where no child is left behind," she said.

According to Angelica, who is a psychology student, she has always been fascinated by the human spirit, which we can better witness in the lives of children who faced difficulties growing up.

"Join me in my mission to inspire, empower, and educate the less fortunate children to be resilient and limitless amidst life challenges. Together, we can create a brighter future for all. Let us empower the future of the children one child at a time, for every child deserves a chance to shine, and together we can make that happen," she said.

"Tayo ay magkakasama, maglilingkod para sa sangkatauhan."

Angelica also shared the video on her Instagram, saying she feels grateful for the opportunity to support others.

"I hope to inspire, empower, and encourage everyone in the International community to join me in this mission," she wrote in the caption.

Angelica won the Binibining Pilipinas International crown in May 2023.

The upcoming Miss International pageant is happening on November 12 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. Angelica will vie for the Philippines' seventh Miss International crown.
