Josh Cullen breaks free from chains in his first solo concert

Josh Cullen of SB19 made the ihawan burn hot as he staged his first-ever solo concert on Saturday at the New Frontier Theater!

The show had all the ingredients to make his fans, the BBQs, satisfy their craving for a fun evening: special guests, a surprise appearance from an SB19 member, and a clever arrangement of Josh's discography centered around his album Lost & Found.

Here are the highlights of the show where Josh finally found himself.

1. Letters from June and KAIA open the show

Letters from June, a six-member alt-pop group, began the evening with a cover of popular R&B track "Sining" by Dionela featuring Jay R. They also sang their original song "Nasan Ka Na."

P-Pop girl group KAIA followed them on the stage with their songs "You Did It" and "Dalawa." Sophia, Angela, Charice, Charlotte, and Alexa charmed the audience with their stunning visuals in cute black and white outfits.

2. Josh electrifies NFT with "Get Right" and "1999"

Josh made his entrance while performing his single "Get Right." BBQs screamed in delight when he busted out the moves in the dance break.

He then hyped everyone up with TikTok viral song "1999." The audience sang along to the lyrics, jumped up and down, and raised their arms in the air.

3. BBQ shares the stage with Josh

A lucky lady from the audience got the golden opportunity to share the stage with Josh! He put his arms around her shoulders as they sang "Sofa" together.

He then made BBQs swoon as he went down on one knee and reached for her hand to thank her for participating in the performance.

4. Alamat Mo and Kael Guerrero perform their collabs with Josh

Josh brought out his first special guest of the evening, Alamat Mo. They performed their collab song "Lights Out," a track from Josh's debut album "Lost & Found."

Another special guest in the concert was Josh's good friend Kael Guerrero, who featured Josh in his track "Takbuhan." Josh showcased his belting abilities as they sang the song together.

5. Pablo's surprise appearance

The A'TIN in the audience got hyped when Pablo suddenly appeared as a surprise guest for the evening! He and Josh shared the stage together without the rest of their SB19 brothers for the first time and performed "GENTO" and "CRIMZONE."

Josh also joined Pablo when the SB19 leader performed "Butata" from his album "LAON." Afterwards, Pablo serenaded the audience with "Drowning in the Water" from "ALON."

6. Josh gets vulnerable on stage

Josh became emotional when he performed his "Lost & Found" tracks "Silent Cries," "Honest," and "See Me." All three songs were deeply personal as Josh reflected on his life and his struggles.

In the middle of "Honest," Josh paused and teared up as he addressed the audience directly to express his gratitude for their support and vowed to be unapologetically who he is.

7. Josh breaks free from chains

The concert began with a cinematic video of Josh in chains, and before the show ended, he showed that he is finally free from everything that was holding him back. With his track "No Control," Josh heralds a new era of running freely towards his dreams.

He finished up the evening with "Wild Tonight" and another rendition of "1999" as his BBQs partied hard on the floor. To wrap everything up, he invited everyone to do the "1999" dance challenge with him.

Before leaving the stage, Josh left one last gift: he took his shirt off and threw it to the audience for a lucky fan to pick up. Thank you for the fun evening, ssob!
