Over 3,000 residents in Taytay, Palawan affected by Ferdie receive food packs from GMA Kapuso Foundation

A total of 3,600 residents from Taytay, Palawan, received food packs from GMA Kapuso Foundation following the impact of tropical storm Ferdie and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

According to “24 Oras,” Friday, among those who received help from the  foundation was Michelle Gabayeron, a farmer whose vegetable garden was destroyed.

“Doon talaga namin kinukuha ‘yung pangaraw-araw namin sa aming gardening, doon namin kinukuha ‘yung kinabukasan ng anak namin kagaya ng pag-aaral nila,” she said.

Other farmers in Barangay Calawag are also facing the same problems with their damaged crops.

GMA Kapuso Foundation packed relief goods with the help of the Western Command of the Philippine Army and distributed the food packs to residents in Sitio Caroroy and Sitio Poblacion in Barangay Calawag.

For those who are interested to help, the GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
