Raymond Lauchengco proudly embraces his graying hair
At the age of 59 years old, Raymond Lauchengco is proudly sporting his graying hair.
On Wednesday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the singer-actor said that he likes his hair the way it is.
"Natutuwa nga ako, Boy, because I watch these really popular K-pop stars and they're so good-looking, 'di ba? Ang babata, 20s, 30s, and you look at their hair, platinum!" he said.
"I'm like, 'Guys, mahal 'yang ginagawa n'yo. All you have to do is be patient and wait because one day it's going to be free,'" he quipped.
According to Raymond, there's nothing wrong with guys coloring their hair.
"I just want to be the guy who says it's also OK not to color your hair because it's just hair. It has very little to do with who you are on the inside, which I think matters a little more," he said.
Raymond also shared that during the pandemic, he thought that his career was finished and that he would never sing again.
"So I told myself, if given opportunities again, if ever things get better, I would like to face these opportunities with gratitude, with grace, with truth, and authenticity," he said.
Raymond is set to hold his 40th anniversary concert, "Just Got Lucky," on November 23 at The Theatre At Solaire.
Ticket prices start at P2,884, and are available online via TicketWorld.
