Jose Mari Chan gives Herlene Budol P1,000 as 'pamasko'
Herlene Budol's newest ninong is Chan-ta Claus himself!
The Kapuso actress and "TikToClock" host shared an Instagram Reel of her having fun with Jose Mari Chan following his guesting on the variety show.
When Herlene told the singer, "Namamasko po," while singing JMC's hit song "Christmas in Our Hearts," he gamely took out his wallet and gave Herlene a crisp P1,000 bill.
Herlene jumped for joy and hugged Jose Mari. "Ang yaman! Ninong na po kita ha!"
"First time ko sa buong buhay ko na napamaskuhan ako ng P1,000, hala," she added. "Maraming salamat, payakap nga po. Ang Santa Claus ng Pilipinas, walang iba kundi si Chan-ta Claus, Jose Mari Chan!"
The duo also sang "Christmas in Our Hearts" with Herlene as the background singer and talked about "the perfect essence of Christmas," which according to JMC is "being with family."
Jose Mari recently went viral for turning emotional at an event where the audience sang the song along with him.
He is also known for the love songs "Beautiful Girl," "Please Be Careful with My Heart," and "A Love to Last a Lifetime."
He was among the composers of the songs, "Mamang Sorbetero" by Celeste Legaspi with Gryk Ortaleza, and "Ang Nobya Kong Sexy" by Apo Hiking Society with Jim Paredes.
A musical featuring his songs is opening in November.
Meanwhile, Herlene previously starred in "Black Rider" and "Magandang Dilag."
