Dulce talks about why she refused to get a nose job

Dulce looked back at the time when she declined to undergo nose enhancement.

On Friday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the veteran singer said that she was scolded for being a “rebel” while her team was planning for her album back in the day.

“Ayokong pumayag na gawin ‘yung mukha ko,” she said.

According to Asia's Timeless Diva, her team was suggesting for her to undergo surgery “para gawin kang maganda. Eh ayoko talaga.”

She recalled being taken to Makati Medical Center, where her nose was measured.

“‘Ano ‘yan?’ Tapos drawing drawing kasi nga i-aayos na nga. No, I ran away. Tumakbo talaga ako. Sabi ko, ‘No. Hindi po ako puwede talaga magpagalaw,'" she narrated.

"Because I really believe, Boy, na kung dumating man ako rito, nakaabot ako ng Maynila, it’s because of the voice that God gave me. Ngayon meron akong fear na kapag ginalaw ang ilong, eh talaga magbabago or ano man ang mangyari," she added.

Dulce, who came from Cebu, started her career when she won a singing contest in 1975.

Among her hit songs include “Paano,” “Ako Ang Nasawi, Ako Ang Nagwagi,” “Kastilyong Buhangin,” and more.

Dulce is set to join fellow artists in an upcoming worship concert by non-governmental organization Christian Broadcasting Networks (CBN) Asia.

Titled “Beyond Measure,” the concert will be held on September 24, 5 p.m., at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
