Ricardo Cepeda reunites with wife Marina Benipayo after release from detention

Ricardo Cepeda has finally reunited with his wife Marina Benipayo after spending 11 months in detention.

On Instagram, Benipayo shared a video of her with Cepeda dancing to Elvis Presley's song "Don't Be Cruel" and wrote, "He's finally going home."

"God is Good! Thank you, everyone for your prayers," Benipayo wrote in the caption.

In the comments section, celebrities like Heart Evangelista and Kylie Padilla extended their warm regards for the couple.

"God bless you both," Heart wrote.

"So happy for you," Kylie said.

Cepeda was arrested in October last year following a syndicated estafa case.

Aside from the 23 counts of syndicated estafa, Cepeda had another warrant of arrest due to a bouncing check and another three counts of violation of RA No. 8799, or Securities Regulation Code.

The actor said he is only an endorser of the company involved in the complaint.

"I was shocked because I didn't, I wasn't aware na umabot sa may warrants ako. I had heard na may mga scam daw but 'di ko alam na sinama nila ako," he said.

"I am not connected at all sa company. Even sa business registration, my name is not there," he added. "Wala ako sa running business, anything of the company. Ano, model lang ako about the products."
