American content creator IShowSpeed has a funny reaction to Pinoys referring to siopao as 'meow meow'
American content creator IShowSpeed just got a taste of Pinoy humor!
In his three-hour-long livestream on YouTube titled "irl stream Philippines," IShowSpeed could be seen exploring the streets of Metro Manila while engaging with his Filipino fans.
He donned a blue jersey top with the word "Pilipinas" printed on it and the Philippine flag.
At one point in the livestream, the YouTube star stopped by a bakery to try siopao in Chinatown. When he asked the people around him the name of the snack, some shouted, "meow meow."
IShowSpeed looked shocked and confused at what "meow meow" meant until he realized that the Pinoys were pertaining to cat meat.
Of course, it was just a long-running urban legend, but IShowSpeed fell for it and was led to believe he had just eaten a cat meat.
Siopao is a popular Filipino snack that is a Chinese-inspired steamed bun filled with savory or sweet fillings, usually minced pork or chicken.
After his quick stop at the bakery, IShowSpeed continued his walkathon in the streets of Manila.
IShowSpeed arrived in the Philippines early this week.
As of writing, IShowSpeed has 29.1 million subscribers on YouTube, 24 million followers on Instagram, and 29.4 million followers on TikTok.
