Northern Samar residents reeling from Enteng receive relief goods through GMA Kapuso Foundation

Residents in Northern Samar who are still reeling from the impact of severe tropical storm Enteng (international name: Yagi) received relief goods from GMA Kapuso Foundation.

According to a report by "24 Oras" on Monday, Enteng caused heavy downpour, flooding, and landslides in the Visayan province, which destroyed the homes of residents.

Mary Jean Siabal, Social Welfare Officer III, Disaster Relief and Rehab Focal Person in Biri, reported that nine houses were totally damaged on the island due to Enteng, while two fatalities have been recorded.

GMA Kapuso Foundation, in its ongoing efforts to deliver aid to those affected by Enteng through the Operation Bayanihan Project, ferried relief goods to the island by boat to reach residents in need.

Relief goods and hot porridge were also distributed to affected residents in Lavezares, Northern Samar.

Previously, GMA Kapuso Foundation mobilized disaster relief efforts for communities in Camarines Sur and Antipolo, Rizal, who were hit by Enteng. Through Operation Bayanihan, the foundation delivered food packs and porridge to thousands of residents in the two provinces.

Those who wish to lend a helping hand through the GMA Kapuso Foundation's Operation Bayanihan Project may donate via Metrobank, Land Bank, Banco de Oro, Philippine National Bank, Unionbank, and Bank of Commerce.

Donations may also be made through Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, Lazada, and Metrobank Credit Cards. Go to this link for more information.
