'Firefly' bags 12 nominations at the Gawad Pasado 2024

"Firefly" starring Euwenn Mikaell and Alessandra De Rossi bagged several nominations at the Gawad Pasado 2024.

The award-winning film was nominated in 12 categories, including "Pinakapasadong Pelikula," "Pinakapasadong Batang Aktor" for Mikaell and "Pinakapasadong Katuwang na Aktres" for De Rossi, among others.

Now in its 26th year, Gawad Pasado will hold its awards night on October 12 at the Philippine Christian University (PCU) in Manila.

Produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs, "Firefly" follows the story of a boy who goes on a journey in pursuit of his late mother's stories.

The film starred Mikaell and De Rossi, who both won acting awards for their performances. Other cast members include Dingdong Dantes, Epy Quizon, Miguel Tanfelix, and Ysabel Ortega.

It took home the Best Picture Award at the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 and recently bagged the Silver Award for Best Asian Feature Film/Telemovie at the ContentAsia Awards 2024.

"Firefly" is currently streaming on Prime Video Philippines.
