Juan Karlos is creating his 'Through the Years' music video, and you can be a part of it
Juan Karlos Labajo is all set to create a music video for his cover of "Through the Years," and fans can be a part of it.
JK posted a photo with his grandmother on Instagram and shared the mechanics for joining.
He told fans that they should post a photo or video with their lolo and/or lola using his "Through the Years" audio on Instagram.
"The cuter and funnier the better," the musician said.
Fans should also add the hashtag #KwentoNgApo for JK to see the posts.
The video will come out on September 8, which is Grandparents' Day.
"O 'yan simple lang 'di ba, basta dapat before September 8 naka-upload na hehe," Juan Karlos said.
"Gandahan n'yo kasi ako pipili hehe," he added.
"Through the Years" is the classic love song by Kenny Rogers. Juan Karlos's cover was used as the theme song for the top Netflix film "Lolo and the Kid" starring Euwenn Mikaell and Joel Torre. JK is also part of the cast.
Directed by Benedict Mique, "Lolo and the Kid" follows the story of a hustler (Joel) and a child (Euwenn) he took under his wing. Together, the pair build a strong bond and con the wealthy, but a life-changing opportunity might just change their relationship.
In 2023, Juan Karlos' took the country by storm with his top hit, "ERE." It was part of Google's list of most searched songs globally, ranked no. 2 on Spotify's Global Viral Songs, and JK became the first Filipino to debut on the charts.
More of his songs include, "Buwan," "Demonyo," and "Kasing Kasing."
Juan Karlos is one of the performers for the upcoming Asiya Festival in October.
