Arlene Muhlach graduates from collegeĀ at 55 years old

Arlene Muhlach is now a bachelor’s degree holder!

On Instagram, the 55 year-old actress shared her graduation photo and some snaps from her graduation ceremony at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) on Monday, and shared how she stopped college on her 3rd year to give way to her showbiz career and her family. 

“Proving that it is never too late to fulfill a longstanding goal, I now have a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Philippine Women’s University,” she wrote. 

Arlene thanked her professors and blockmates in the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) for their “faith” in her and her abilities. 

She also extended her gratitude to her husband and children, who boosted her morale when she was about give up and to her office mates at the Information Research Service department of the Commission of Appointments for their patience in helping her pursue her dream.

“You are appreciated,” she added. 

Ending her post, Arlene left an inspiring message about achieving goals, “Age is just a number, determination and passion are what truly matter.”

Congratulatory messages from fans and fellow celebrities such as Ruffa Gutierrez peppered Arlene’s comment section.

“Congrats!! Happy for you Ate Arlene!!” Ruffa wrote.

“Galing” Gelli De Belen said. 

Arlene joins the list of showbiz personalities who returned to school to earn their degrees despite being older. More artists include Ejay Falcon, Jhong Hilario, and Bogart the Explorer.

Arlene previously appeared in the movie “That Kind of Love,” alongside Babrie Forteza and David Licauco. She played the role of Barbie’s mother.
