5 individuals receive arm, hand prostheses through GMA Kapuso Foundation, LN-4 Foundation

Five individuals received free arm and hand prostheses through the GMA Kapuso Foundation and LN-4 Foundation.

According to "24 Oras," Wednesday, the beneficiaries' cases are varied and included those who were born without a limb, as well as amputees who lost their limbs from work- and fireworks-related accidents.

One of the beneficiaries is Reymark Gamuhay, a balut vendor from Taytay, Rizal, who was born without a left hand.

Despite his disability, Reymark sells balut and penoy from 5 p.m. to 12 midnight to help his mother; it's a livelihood that earns him around P200 to P400 a day.

His new arm and hand prosthesis has now provided him lift and ease in doing his daily work.

According to Anthony Untalan of LN-4 Foundation, the arm and hand prostheses are made of a special type of plastic and are built to last.

"Gawa siya sa special na plastic, so matibay na materyales siya tapos 'yung mga materials nito hindi rin kinakalawang. By these prosthetic hands, pwede na silang makahawak ng kahit na anong tools na kailangan nila sa mga everyday work nila," said Untalan.

To support more of GMA Kapuso Foundation's projects, donations may be made via Metrobank, Land Bank, BDO, Bank of Commerce, UnionBank, PNB, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Lazada, and Shopee. Go here for more information.
