'Squid Game 2' teases new set of players
The excitement for "Squid Game 2" is on!
On social media, the South Korean dystopian series dropped a teaser featuring the new set of players for its sequel.
The video revealed a couple of new contestants such as players 124, 380, 390, 388, 007, 044, and 120, among others.
The teaser also reintroduced the role of Lee Jung Jae, who is set to reprise his role as Player 456 or Seong Gi Hun, the winner in the "Squid Game 1."
"Players – it's almost time. Squid Game Season 2 arrives December 26," the caption read.
Previously, Netflix announced that there will be two more seasons for "Squid Game," with season two premiering on December 26. The final season is coming in 2025.
According to a statement from Netflix, Season 2 will take place three years after the events of "Squid Game." Player 456 remains determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their vicious sport.
However, the path toward taking down the organization proves to be deadlier than he imagined: to end the game, he needs to re-enter it.
Aside from Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Wi Ha Jun, and Gong Yoo will reprise their roles from Season 1 with an impeccable list of new cast members including Yim Si Wan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Gyu Young, Lee Jin Uk, Park Sung Hoon, Yang Dong Geun, Kang Ae Sim, Lee David, Choi Seung Hyun, Roh Jae Won, Jo Yu Ri, and Won Ji An rounding out the ensemble of colorful characters in the new season.
