SB19's Justin admits he was extremely nervous in launching solo career

SB19 member Justin admitted that he experienced some struggles in launching his solo career.

In the latest episode of "Surprise Guest With Pia Arcangel," the singer talked about his career as a P-pop star, and revealed that he was "super kabado" to go solo.

"Actually po, super kabado po ako as a person din. Talagang medyo, 'yung personality ko po kasi is medyo dependent. Parang as an introvert, parang mahihirap po akong humarap sa maraming tao, mag-start ng conversation, ganyan," Justin said, adding that it was the reason why he struggled at first.

"Kasi iba, syempre, pagka-group meron kang kasama na to support you. Meron kang karamay. Pero as a solo, ikaw lang mag-isa 'yung lahat. So, medyo mahirap po talaga nung start," he continued.

But thanks to the kind words and moral support of his fellow members, he became more confident in his craft.

"Siguro kasi feel ko para silang proud na kuya na minsan minor achievement lang or let's say maganda lang 'yung pagkakakanta ko sa isang part natutuwa na sila. So 'yung mga ganoong simple appreciation is parang nakakadagdag na rin sa confidence ko," he said.

Justin recently released a single titled "Kaibigan." In February, the group's bunso launched his solo career with the song "Surreal."

Justin, together with SB19 members Stell, Pablo, Ken, and Josh, will release an upcoming collaboration song titled "Kalakal" with Gloc-9 on Friday.

In July, SB19 received a nomination from Billboard's Fan Army Face-Off, an online voting competition for the fan bases of global artists.

The group recently had back-to-back appearances on "The First Take," a popular Japanese YouTube channel, performing "GENTO" and "MAPA."
