Alessandra De Rossi gets recognized by her hometown in Italy for achievements in cinema

Alessandra De Rossi has been recognized by her hometown Martano in Italy for her "excellent professional results achieved at an international level in the cinematographic world."

On Instagram, the award-winning actress shared a photo of her receiving the plaque of recognition from town officials.

She was accompanied by her family, including her sister Assunta and niece Fiore.

"Thank you @comunemartano for the recognition. See you till next time. Thanks for everything," Alessandra wrote in Italian and translated into English by Instagram.

With a career spanning over 20 years, Alessandra has received numerous awards, including Actress of the Decade at the 44th Gawad Urian Awards, which she shared with Nora Aunor and Angeli Bayani.

She was also named the Best Actress at the first Asean International Film Festival and Awards in 2013.

The Filipina-Italian actress recently starred in "Firefly," which won the Best Picture Award at the Metro Manila Film Festival in December.

Her performance as Elay, the mother of Euwenn Mikaell's character Tonton, earned her the Best Supporting Actress plum at the Manila International Film Festival in California in February.
