Dennis Trillo says he watches funny videos to recover from playing Japanese soldier in 'Pulang Araw'

Dennis Trillo is using humor to get out of his character as a fierce Japanese imperial army officer in "Pulang Araw."

According to Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras," the Kapuso Drama King said he watches funny videos on his way home from taping until he falls asleep. This way, he is able to bring home good vibes instead of his character's menacing aura.

Aside from this, he also leans on the feeling of accomplishment after a long work day.

Dennis will soon make his entrance as Col. Yuta Saitoh in "Pulang Araw." The character is tasked to conquer the Philippines during World War II.

Starring Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, David Licauco, and Alden Richards, the series airs on weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras."

"Pulang Araw" is also streaming on Netflix, where it is currently no. 1 on the Top 10 TV Shows in the Philippines Today.
