Viy Cortez, Cong TV's wedding inspires Nobita's latest track 'Gitna'

Viy Cortez, Cong TV's wedding inspires Nobita's latest track 'Gitna'

Viy Cortez and Cong TV's love story was immortalized through a song, thanks to OPM band Nobita.

The five-piece band revealed in a press release that their latest song, "Gitna," was inspired by the vloggers' wedding last month. Nobita performed the song in front of the newlyweds as a surprise gift.

"Their love isn't perfect by all means, but we've witnessed through the years how they've managed to work their differences together and make room for adjustments and compromise to reach this far," Nobita said in a statement.

"This prompted us to compose a song that perfectly fits the narrative," they added.

"Gitna" showcases the band's penchant for sentimental lyricism with swoony instrumentation.

Composed of Jaeson Felismino, Sam Aquino, Mark Quintero, Richmond Bancolita, and Jonathan Agbanlog, Nobita broke records with "Ikaw Lang," which was the most streamed OPM song in 2022.

In June, Viy and Cong got married at the L'Annunziata Parish Church in Muntinlupa City. They got engaged in 2022 and welcomed their son, Kidlat, in the same year.

Earlier this month, the couple attended the GMA Gala 2024, which served as a fundraiser for the Kapuso Foundation.
