Heart Evangelista recalls passing out for the first time during Milan Fashion Week

Heart Evangelista recalled passing out for the first time in Milan due to exhaustion.

In an exclusive interview with GMA News Online, the 39-year-old Global Fashion Icon said it was her first time experiencing losing consciousness. The incident happened during Milan Fashion Week in March.

“I think I was exhausted at that time, then I just came from my wedding and another prior fashion week, so it was really like a pile-up,” Heart said.

Heart said she was feeling fine before she passed out, but it happened very quickly.

“Nanlamig ako, and then nawalan na pala ako ng malay for a minute,” she said.

“Buti na lang may mga sumalo sa’kin kasi wala talaga akong naramdaman," she added.

However, Heart said she’s all good now and back to her regular programming.

Heart’s health hack

With her busy schedule and a new role as the president of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc., the Kapuso artist said she makes sure to keep her health in shape by getting enough sleep and vitamins.

“After that moment na nahimatay ako, I realized that you really don’t know when it is gonna come for you, and it could’ve gone really badly, so I really make sure that I get enough sleep,” she said.

“Six hours minimum, but I try to push for eight because it’s the golden rule,” she added.

Heart said she also eats enough protein, drinks lots of water, and takes complete vitamins from A to Zinc.

“I also do vitamin drips from time to time when I can, and I get yearly check-ups,” she said.

A renewed Kapuso

On Monday, Heart renewed her ties with GMA Network through a ceremonial contract signing event. Heart donned a Giambattista Valli floor-length couture piece on this special occasion, featuring a sheer silhouette with beads and sequin detailing.

During the event, GMA Network Senior VP for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and CEO of GMA Films Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes expressed her appreciation for Heart for remaining a Kapuso.

“Your contributions with GMA and Sparkle, with your talent, class, and style, not just here but also abroad, are really unquantifiable. We really love you, Heart, and thank you,” Gozon-Valdes said.

Heart attended the GMA Gala 2024 earlier this month with her husband, Senate President Chiz Escudero.

Along with the senator, Heart also graced the third State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos.
